
Opernhaus Zurich Announces Adjusted Schedule for ‘Opernhaus für alle’ Due to Extreme Heat
By Francisco SalazarThe Opernhaus Zürich has announced that it will be changing times for its “Opernhaus für alle” programing due to high temperatures.
The company said, “Due to the forecast summer heat this coming weekend, the Zurich Opera House is postponing the starting times of several ‘Opernhaus für alle’ events on Sechseläutenplatz.”
The Friday June 26 performance of “Romeo and Juliet” will start at 8 p.m. (instead of 7 p.m.) while the June 27 performance of “Tannhäuser” will take place as planned at 6 p.m. o’clock.
Finally the June 28 Children’s opera orchestra will begin at 7:30 p.m. (instead of 6 p.m.) and the Orchestra of the Zurich Opera will begin at new 9 p.m. (instead of 8 p.m.).
The company said that the times were changed so audiences enjoy the evening as pleasantly as possible and will be offering additional free drinking water stations at the Sechseläutenplatz. The company also recommend bringing increased seating opportunities as well as sun protection.
