Ying Fang to Headline Sydney Symphony Orchestra Concert

Chinese soprano Ying Fang will perform alongside the Sydney Symphony Orchestra from Oct. 8-10, 2026.

Fang made her Sydney Symphony debut in 2024 with Principal Guest Conductor Sir Donald Runnicles, Fang will take on Canteloube’s “Songs of the Auvergne.”

“The Songs of the Auvergne are sensuous, glorious songs,” said Runnicles, per an official press release. “They’re works that need no introduction, and Ying Fang’s voice will bring them to life with incomparable depth and clarity.”

Also on the program is Milhaud’s “Le Boeuf sur le Toit” and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4.

The Oct. 8 and 9 programs commence at 7 p.m. local time with the showcase on the 10th set for a 2 p.m. start time.
