The ABAO Bilbao Opera is set to begin 2023 with Mozart’s Masterpiece “Così fan tutte.”

The opera, which is set to celebrate its 233 years on Jan. 26, has been presented three times in the company’s history. The last time was in 2007.

Mozart’s work will be performed on Jan. 21, 24, 27, 28, and 30 at the Euskalduna Bilbao with a cast that includes Vanessa Goikoetxea as Fiordiligi, Serena Malfi as Dorabella, Xabier Anduaga as Ferrando, and David Menéndez as Gugliemo.

The cast will be rounded by Pietro Spagnoli as Don Alfonso and Itziar de Unda as Despina. Óliver Díaz will conduct the Euskadiko Orkestra.

The Jan. 28 performance will be part of Opera Berri and will star Ashley Bell, Anna Gomà, Pablo García-López, and José Manuel Díaz. Pedro Bartolomé conducts.
