The Bilbao Opera has announced its 2022-23 season featuring

Jessica Pratt, Xabier Anduaga, Andrzej Filończyk, and Manuel Fuentes star in Bellini’s “I Puritani” in a production by Emilio Sagi and Giacomo Sagripanti conducts the Euskadiko Orkestra.

Performance Dates: Oct. 15-24, 2022

Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” is set to star Joyce El-Khoury, Silvia Tro Santafé, Marko Mimica, and Celso Albelo. The production by Stefano Mazzonis di Pralafera will be conducted by Jordi Benacer.

Performance Dates: Nov. 19-28, 2022

Vanessa Goikoetxea, Marina Viotti, Xabier Anduaga, Pietro Spagnoli, Itziar de Unda and David Menéndez lead Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” with Óliver Díaz leading the Euskadiko Orkestra. Marta Eguilior directs the new production. The second cast of the Opera Berri will be led by Verónica Tello, Anna Gomá, Diego Godoy, and José Manuel Díaz. Pedro Bartolomé leads the second cast.

Performance Dates: Jan. 21-30, 2023

Puccini’s “Tosca” will star Oksana Dyka, Roberto Aronica, and Gabriele Viviani in a production by Mario Pontiggia. Pedro Halffter conducts the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa.

Performance Dates: Feb. 18-27, 2023

Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” is set to star Anna Pirozzi, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Celso Albelo, and Juan Jesús Rodríguez. Lorenzo Mariani directs a new production while Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa.

Performance Dates: May 20-29, 2023

Angela Meade, Daniela Barcellona, Sergio Escobar, Claudio Sgura, and David Lagares headline “Concierto Tutto Verdi.” Daniel Oren conducts the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa.
