On April 18 the Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain will open a production of Rossini’s “La Cenerentola.”
The production, which will be performed at Teatro Pérez Galdós, will star Victoria Yarovaya as Angelina and Xabier Anduaga as Don Ramiro. They will be joined by Misha Kiria as Don Magnifico, Fernando Campero as Dandini, Cristina del Barrio as Tisbe, Sofía Esparza as Clorinda, and Isaac Galán as Alidoro.
The Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria will be conducted by Lorenzo Passerini and the production will be directed by Raúl Vázquez.
The production marks the third opera the company presents this year following successful productions of “Il Trovatore” and “Adriana Lecouvreur.” The company is working under strict regulations to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“La Cenerentola” will also be performed on April 20, 22, and 24, 2021.
