María José Siri, Saioa Hernández, Xabier Anduaga & Anna Pirozzi Lead Ópera de Las Palmas 2021 Season

The Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain has announced its schedule for the first half of 2021. The program will feature a total of five operas.

Here is a look at the schedule.

Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” will feature Murat Karahan, Saioa Hernández, Massimo Cavaletti, Nancy Fabiola Herrera, Manuel Fuentes, Manuel García, Nora Carrasco, and Gabriel Álvarez. Jordi Bernàcer will conduct the production by Carlo Antonio De Lucia.

Performance dates: Feb. 23 – 27, 2021

Cilea’s operatic masterwork “Adriana Lecouvreur” will spotlight María José Siri in the title role, Sergio Escobar, Young Jun Park, In Sung Sim, Silvia Tro Santafé, Francisco Corujo, Magdalena Padilla, Andrea Gens, Fernando Campero, and Iván Figueira. Ramón Tebar will conduct the production by Giulio Ciabatti.

Performance dates: March 23 – 27, 2021

Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” will showcase Victoria Yarovaya, Xabier Anduaga, Misha Kiria, Fernando Campero, Cristina del Barrio, Sofia Esparza, and Isaac Galán. Lorenzo Passerini conducts the production by Raúl Vázquez.

Performance dates: April 18 – 24, 2021

Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” will feature Ekaterina Semenchuk, Sergio Escobar, Young Jun Park, Abenauara Graffigna, and Andrea Gens. Karel Mark Chichon conducts the production by Carlo Antonio de Lucia.

Performance dates: May 18 – 22, 2021

Finally, Verdi’s “Macbeth” will star Amartuvshin Enkhbat in the title role, Anna Pirozzi as Lady Macbeth, Marko Mimica, Fabián Lara, Francisco Corujo, Andrea Gens, and Iván Figueira. Francesco Ivan Ciampa will conduct the production by Alfonso Romero.

Performance dates: June 15 – 19, 2021
