
Women’s Opera Network Forum Sets March 2025 Dates
By David SalazarThe Women’s Opera Network Forum is set to take place virtually on March 25 and 26, 2025.
The two-day event opens with an “Opening & Women’s Healing Circle” from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., followed by a “Reproductive Health Presentation” from 1:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The day will conclude with a “Reproductive Health Q&A” (closed session) from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The events on this day feature Dr. Kimberly Monzon and Marsha Thompson.
On Wednesday, March 26, participants can join the “Women’s Writing Workshop: Telling Women’s Stories in Their Own Words” or “Leading Women in the Workplace,” both held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. The former features librettist Deborah Brevoort, while the latter will showcase Opera Columbus General Director Julia Noulin-Merat. The afternoon will continue with a session on “Allyship: Garnering Support from Allies” from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., followed by the closing session from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Noelle Deutsch, director of productions and operations at OPERA America will lead the event.
The Women’s Opera Network Forum offers a unique space for opera professionals who identify as women and their allies to come together and address the distinct challenges facing the industry. It is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
