Washington Master Chorale will celebrate the holiday season with “Thine Own Sweet Light.”

The program, set for Dec. 19, 2025 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Dec. 21, 2025 at Church of the Epiphany, will be entirely a cappella. Music performed included Edvard Grieg’s “Ave Maris Stella,” Eric Whitacre’s “Lux Aurumque,” and Christopher Hoh’s “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God of Hosts.”

Josep Ollé i Sabaté will also present a new work.

The Dec. 21 showcase has a start time of 7:30 p.m. while the one on the 21st kicks off at 5 p.m. local time.

Later this season, Washington Master Chorale will present “I, Too, Sing America” and “Springtime Summer + Song.” The 2025-26 season opened this past October with “Sacred Jewelbox.”
