VOCES8 Announces Winter Festival ‘Live from London – Christmas’ & ‘Bach for Christmas’

VOCES8 has announced a series of 15 concerts that will be streamed throughout December and January.

The performances will be part of a two-part festival. “Live from London – Christmas” will feature 10 concerts between Dec. 1 and 25. Meanwhile “Bach for Christmas” will present six concerts between Dec. 25 and Jan. 6, 2021.

VOCES8 and Rachel Podger will perform on Dec. 1 followed by a Dec. 5 showcase with VOCES8 commissions and The Aeolians. On Dec. 6, audiences will check out ANÚNA while Dec. 12 will be headlined by The Tallis Scholars. Take 6 and London Adventist Chorus will perform on Dec. 13 with amarcord taking the stage on Dec. 19. Apollo5 will perform on Dec. 20 before VOCE8 presents a Christmas show on Dec. 23. I Fagiolini will present a Midnight Mass on Dec. 24 with “Bach for Christmas” slated for repeat performances between Dec. 25- Jan. 6, 2021.

The presentations will feature music by a wide range of composers including Bach, Praetorius, Eccard, Charpentier, and Tallis to Howells, Britten, Pärt, Tavener, Michael McGlynn, and Ola Gjeilo, among many others.
