The VOCES8 Foundation has announced that tenor Blake Morgan will transition into a new role as VOCES8 Ambassador and Associate Artist beginning in the 2026-27 season.

Morgan, who has been a full-time member of the ensemble for a decade, will step away from his permanent tenor seat while continuing to work with the group through composing, arranging, selected performances, digital media production, and educational workshops. Among the projects he will develop in his new capacity is “Windows: Reimaginings.”

Additionally, the ambassadorial dimension of the role will see Morgan extending the reach of the VOCES8 Foundation through collaborations and creative partnerships across a range of musical communities.

“VOCES8 has been home for a huge part of my musical life,” said Morgan, per an official press release. “This new role allows me to develop my work as a composer, arranger and educator while remaining closely connected to the group and the Foundation’s mission.”

In the meantime, VOCES8 will begin a search for a new singer to fill the ensemble chair, with auditions and development taking place over the next six months.
