Tri-Cities Opera Announces Two Landmark Achievements

Tri-Cities Opera has announced two landmark achievements after its celebratory 75th Anniversary Season.

The company said that it exceeded $50,000 matching goal thanks to the generosity of its community, and it has ushered in a new era of artistic leadership with three globally acclaimed professionals joining the company as of July 1, 2025.

In March, TCO launched a fundraising campaign with the support of two anonymous donors who pledged to match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000. The community responded with an incredible wave of support.

In a statement General Director John Rozzoni said, “This campaign’s success speaks to the passion and commitment of our TCO family. Exceeding the $50,000 goal to raise over $100,000 not only helps fund this monumental season but also reinforces our mission to bring vibrant, accessible opera to the Southern Tier.”

Additioanlly the Tri-Cities Opera appointed Artistic Director, Patrick Hansen, a seasoned director, conductor, and educator who has produced over 300 operas across North America and Europe, returns to the Southern Tier with renewed enthusiasm as well as Music Director Giovanni Reggioli, a distinguished international career includes appearances at Teatro alla Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, and the New National Theater of Tokyo.

Additionally, Ü Lee will step into the role of Associate Conductor.
