The Tiroler Festspiele Erl has announced a cast change for its Wagner Gala on July 5, 2025.

The company said that “Ekaterina Gubanova will replace Lise Davidsen. The Norwegian had to withdraw from her debut in Erl due to her pregnancy.”

Gubanova is a regular guest at venues such as the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, the Bayreuth Festival, Vienna, and London’s Covent Garden, and now also in Erl. She will be singing Sieglinde in the first act of “Die Walkure” for the very time.

Gubanova will be joins Jonas Kaufmann and René Pape.  Asher Fisch conducts the gala.
