The Southold Opera To Kick Off New Year’s Eve With ‘La Vie Parisienne’

The Southold Opera will kick off the New Year with comic splendor as it showcases Offenbach’s “La Vie Parisienne.”

The operetta will be directed by Stephane Senechal and Anne-Julia Audray in a co-production with  Southold Opera and the Long Island Opera Company. Audrey Senesse is set to choreograph the entire operetta with Richard Cordova conducting the evening. Emily Kate Naydeck stars as Gabrielle in the production.

The New Year’s Eve gala begins at 4 p.m. and will also include a dinner “a la Francaise” after the performance.

The Southold Opera  began its 2017-18 season with Puccini’s “La Bohème” and also performed “Sleepy Hollow: The Ballet.” The company holds singing and dance classes for adults and children as well as professionals and stages several operas a year. Last season the company kicked off the New Year with “The Merry Widow.”
