The Royal Conservatory Announces 2022-23 Season

The Royal Conservatory in the Toronto, Ontario has unveiled its 2022-23 season.

For the purposes of this article, we will present only the vocal or operatic performances.

Countertenor Philippe Jaroussky will perform music by Händel and Vivaldi alongside the Ensemble Artaserse.

Performance Date: Oct. 29, 2022 

Next up is the Glenn Gould School Fall Opera, “Venus and Adonis.” Peter Tiefenbach conducts. Derek Boyes directs.

Performance Date: Nov. 4 & 5, 2022 

Next up is The Glen Gould School Vocal Showcase.

Performance Date: Jan. 28, 2023

The King’s Singers will present “Finding Harmony” which includes such songs as “If I can Help Somebody,” “This Little Light of Mine,” “M.L.K.,” “Tsintskaro,” “Shemokmedura,” and “God, Grant With Grace,” among many others. 

Performance Date: Feb. 16, 2023

Mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo will present music by Sarah Kirkland Snider, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Missy Mazzoli, and Hildegard von Bingen.

Performance Date: Feb. 22, 2023 

Next up is the Glenn Gould School Spring Opera, which has yet to be announced.

Performance Date: March 15 & 17, 2023
