‘The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs’ To Tour Three Cities in Second-Ever Production

Mark Campbell and Mason Bates’ Grammy-award winning opera “The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs” will be making a three-city tour next January with stops in Austin, Atlanta, and Kansas City.

From Jan. 28-31, audiences in Austin, Texas will witness the famed work at The Long Center for the Performing Arts. Austin Opera will present the production. A few weeks later, the work will travel to Atlanta, Georgia where it will be showcased at The Robert Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech on Feb. 11-14, 2021, presented by The Atlanta Opera. Finally, Kansas City Opera will showcase the final leg of the tour at The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts between Feb. 27-March 7, 2021.

John Moore will star in the title role with Sarah Larsen appearing as Laurene Powell Jobs. Bille Bruley will interpret Steve wozniak, while Madison Leonoard will be Chrisann Brenna. Finally, Wei Wu will play the role of the Zen priest.  Timothy Myers will conduct in Austin while Michael Christie will lead in Atlanta and Kansas City.

The opera will be presented in a production by Tomer Zvulun with sets and costumes by Jacob A. Climer and projections by S. Katy Tucker. This is just the second production of the opera following its world premiere showcase in Santa Fe.
