The Music Troupe to Present ‘Masque of Vengeance’

The Music Troupe will present “Masque of Vengeance” this November in London and Manchester.

The opera is adapted from “The Revenger’s Tragedy” of 1606 and explores lust for sex and power in a criminal regime. The chamber opera by Edward Lambert and Thomas Middleton will be directed by David Edwards and designed by Tabitha Benton-Evans and movement by Jenny Weston.

The opera stars Laure Meloy, Madeline Robinson, Leila Zanette, Mae Heydorn, Matt Paine, Lawrence Thackeray, William Diggle, Charles Johnston, and Christopher Foster. They will be joined by a piano duo comprised of Alex Norton and Adrian Salinero.

“Masque of Vengeance” will open at The Cockpit in London on Nov. 7-9 for a total of four performances, before heading to The Stoller Hall in Manchester for a performance on Nov. 12.
