The Grange Festival International Competition To Return

The Grange Festival International Singing Competition is set to return in Autumn 2019 for its second edition.

The second edition is set to be open to singers of any nationality up to 32-years-old and the repertoire for the 2019 Competition must be from music composed before 1830. Contestants will performance alongside The Academy of Ancient Music, conducted by Peter Robinson.

The semi-final and final will be public events taking place at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London, with the award of contracts in future editions of The Grange Festival. Winners will also be awarded prizes of £10,000, £5,000 and £2,500 to the three highest placed finalists.

Other prizes will include the Audience Prize, Academy of Ancient Music Prize, and Waynflete Singers Prize.

The injury will include Felicity Palmer, Michael Chance CBE, David Gowland, Rosa Mannion, John Graham-Hall, Peter Robinson, Scott Cooper, Hugh Canning, and Mary Miller.

The finals will be held on Oct. 31, 2019.
