TENET Vocal Artists to Close Season with 16th Century ‘Rejoice, Rejoice!’ Concert

By Logan Martell

On May 20, 2023, TENET Vocal Artists will conclude its 2022-23 season with “Rejoice, Rejoice!” at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church.

Featuring a program of music from 16th century England, the concert will celebrate composers such as William Byrd, William Mundy, John Sheppard, Thomas Tallis, and Robert White.

Led by the soprano and Artistic Director Joelle Greenleaf, the roster of artists includes sopranos Madeline Healy and Rebecca Myers; mezzo Sylvia Leith and Elisa Sutherland; countertenor Timothy Tipton; tenors Andrew Fuchs, Nathan Hodgson, and Jacob Perry; bass-baritones Paul Max McCargar.

“This exciting event brings TENET back to its vocal roots in a performance of splendid vocal repertoire from UK composers,” says Greenleaf. “Alternating between one-to-a-part and full ensemble singing, I am looking forward to sharing these gems with our audience – some known, many lesser known – as we bring our series to a close and look ahead to an exciting 15th celebration season.”

The concert will be filmed and made available online from May 30 to August 30, 2023.
