TENET Vocal Artists Announces 2021-22 Season

TENET  Vocal Artists has announced its 2021-22 season which will mark a return to in-person concerts. The new series is entitled “Keeping Time” and features several concerts zeroing in on a major baroque composers.

All concerts will be presented in person, but will also be made available online for three days followed each performance.

First up will be a performance of Fayrfaxs’ “Missa Tecum Principium.” The showcase will be presented at the Church of St. Ignatius of Antioch in New York City.

Performance Date: Oct. 23, 2021

Next up is a presentation of Händel’s “Messiah” at St. Vincent Ferrer in New York City.

Performance Date: Dec. 3-5, 2021

There will be a presentation of Praetorius’ music for double choir with singers, brass, and accompanying instruments. The showcase will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New York City.

Performance Date: Dec. 11, 2021

The company will also present Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s “Les Plaisirs de Versailles” with Ensemble Caprice. The performance will take place at House of the Redeemer in New York City.

Performance Date: Feb. 26, 2022

There will also be a concert dedicated to Henrich Schütz’s “Musikalische Exequien.” The performance will take place at St. Luke in the Fields in New York City.

Performance Date: March 26, 2022

The series comes to a close with a performance of Thomas Tomkins’ music at St. Thomas Church in New York City.

Performance Date: April 23, 2022
