Teatro Villamarta Announces New Artistic Director

The Teatro Villamarta de Jerez has announced Carlos Granados as the Artistic Director.

Platea Magazine announced the news noting that Granados recently ended his tenure as assistant director of the Teatro de la Zarzuela. Granados’s will be officially named the Artistic Director on Jan. 19, 2024.

Born in 1988, Granados is a musicologist and historian and has worked at the Teatro Villamarta. He has already designed the program for Fundarte in the summer and programmed the 2024-25 season.

This season the Teatro Villamarta is set to Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly,” and Verdi’s “La Traviata.” There will also be a Zarzuela gala.
