The Teatro San Carlo has canceled the final performance of Donizetti’s “Roberto Devereux” on July 25, 2025.

The company did not announce a reason for the cancellation but noted that ticket holders will be able to change their tickets for another performance from the 2024-25 season.

“Roberto Devereux” is set to open on July 16 and will star Roberta Mantegna as Elisabetta, Annalisa Stroppa as Sara, René Barbera as Roberto Devereux, and Nicola Alaimo as Il duca di Nottingham. Riccardo Frizza conducts the production by Jetske Mijnssen.

The production will not be performed four times through July 22, 2025.
