Teatro Regio di Parma Launches Verdi Streaming Festival

The Teatro Regio di Parma is launching a Verdi streaming festival.

The company announced that in collaboration with Unitel and Dynamic, it will present 11 operas from the acclaimed Verdi Festival from the past 15 years with Italian subtitles.

It all begins with “La Traviata” starring Svetla Vassileva on March 20 and 21, followed by “Nabucco” with Leo Nucci on March 22 and 23. On March 24 and 25, the company will show “Rigoletto” with Leo Nucci and on March 26 and 27, a recording of “Falstaff” will be presented starring Ambrogio Maestri and Luca Salsi.

On March 28 and 29, “Aida” will be streamed with Susanna Brachini starring in the title role and on March 30 and 31, “La Forza del Destino” will be shown with Dimitra Theodossiou and Aquiles Machado.

Leo Nucci and Sylvie Valayre  star in a recording of “Macbeth” on April 1 and 2 while Bruno Ribeiro and Irina Lungu star in “Il Corsaro” on April 3 and 4. On April 5 and 6, “Ernani” will be shown with a cast that includes Marco Berti and Carlo Guelfi and on April 7 and 8, “Stiffelio” will be presented with Luciano Ganci in the title role.

The series ends on April 9 and 10 with “Don Carlo” starring Jose Bros, Serena Farnocchia, Michele Pertusi, and Marianne Cornetti.
