Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House is set to present countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen in a special recital on Nov. 8.

Accompanied by pianist John Churchwell, Nussbaum Cohen will present a wide-ranging program that includes a dramatic preview from “Deidamia,” German lieder rarely performed by countertenors including songs by Johannes Brahms, Clara Schumann, and Gustav Mahler, songs from his Jewish heritage, and a new work by American composer Jake Heggie.

Nussbaum Cohen is an internationally acclaimed countertenor who is a Grand Prize winner of the 2017 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and has performed at Glyndebourne and with The English Concert, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Music of the Baroque, and the London Symphony Orchestra.

The performance kicks off at 3 p.m. local time.
