The Teatro Regio di Parma has announced the winner of the “La Bohème” competition, which will see a new production during the 2024-25 season.

The team La Scatola dei ricordi was announced as the winner at the Teatro Sociale di Como. The team comprises director and costume designer Maria Luisa Bafunno, stage designer Eleonora Peronetti, choreographer Emanuele Rosa, and lighting designer Gianni Bertoli.

The opera will be presented in a co-production between Fondazione Teatro Regio di Parma and Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia, in collaboration with Opera Europa, and support by Ministero della Cultura, Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Cariplo.

The winning team must present the final set designs by April 6, 2024.

La Scatola dei ricordi’s take of “La Bohème” will debut on Sept 26, 2024 at the Teatro Sociale di Como. It will be also shown at other OperaLombardia theaters (Teatro Grande di Brescia, Teatro Sociale di Como, Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona, Teatro Fraschini di Pavia).
