Bogotá’s Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo will present Purcell’s “The Fairy Queen” on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025.

The performance features the acclaimed French ensemble Les Arts Florissants under the baton of Emmanuel Resche-Caserta, assistant to the legendary William Christie, alongside the innovative dance company Compagnie Käfig.

Supported by French institutions including the Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles and the Philharmonie de Paris, and brought to Latin America through the efforts of Imúsica, the production enjoys principal sponsorship from the Fundación Selz and the American Friends of Les Arts Florissants.

The showcase is presented as part of the XIV Festival Internacional de Música Sacra de Bogotá. It kicks off at 8 p.m. local time.
