Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo to Present ‘Latinoamérica en el Corazón’

The Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo is set to present the Chorus of the Ópera de Colombia on Sunday, July 25, 2021.

The performance, entitled “Latinoamérica en el corazón” will be led by Luis Días Hérodier and accompanied by Rubén Darío Pardo.

The showcase will include the premiere of Samuel Zyman’s “Siluetas” which was composed for the Chorus of the Ópera de Colombia.

The performance will also include several traditional Latin American songs such as “La flor de canela” by Chabuca Granda; “Amarraditos” by Pedro Pérez and M. Durán; “Adiós Nonino” by Ástor Piazzola; “Prende la vela” by Lucho Bermúdez, among others. There will also be music Luis Díaz Herodier, Alberto Favero, and Arlington Pardo.
