The Teatro Filarmonico in Italy has announced that it will broadcast a series of events in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona, the Cariverona Foundation and the Verona Philharmonic Academy.

The concerts focus on the relationship between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the city of Verona as their central theme. “Mozart, from Austria to Russia” is the title of the first showcase in the new Artistic Season.

The concert will feature soprano Manuela Schenale, the contralto Tamara Zandonà, the tenor Antonino Scarbaci and the bass Valentino Perera as soloists for the performance of Mozart’s Credo Mass in C Major KV 257. The program also features overtures to Mozart’s famed operas “Die Zauberflöte” and “La Clemenza di Tito,” as well as Tchaikovsky’s orchestral suite No. 4, Op. 61, most commonly known as “Mozartiana.” Francesco Ivan Ciampa will conduct.

The concert will be available for viewing on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at 8:30 p.m. CET on the web TV channel of Arena di Verona and Teatro Filarmonico and on YouTube. On Saturday Jan. 9, 2021, the concert will stream at 3:00 p.m. on Facebook and on Telenuovo’s Channel 11. The concert will also be available for viewing on the Cariverona Foundation’s Facebook and YouTube social channels, and also on www.fondazionecariverona.org/mozart.
