
Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Announces Season Openings for 2027 & 2028
By Francisco SalazarThe Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced the next two operas that will inaugurate the 2027-28 and 2028-29 seasons.
On Nov. 1, 2027, the company will open with a new production of Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” in a new production by Krzysztof Warlikowski.
Then on Nov. 1, 2028, the company will open with Verdi’s “Don Carlos,” the French version in five acts. Christof Loy will direct.
Music Director Michele Mariotti will conduct both works.
The news was made during the press conference announcing the 2026-27 season, which will open with “The Rake’s Progress.”
