
Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires & Teatro San Carlo Sign International Cooperation Agreement
By Francisco SalazarThe Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Teatro San Carlo have signed a Framework Agreement of International Cooperation.
In a statement Superintendent Fulvio Macciardi. said this “an understanding that opens up to a multi-year collaboration between two great musical institutions, with the aim of promoting the exchange of artists, masterpieces, productions and common projects, until the realization of a new production born within the framework of the protocol.”
The signing such renown personalities as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara, the Prefect of Naples and president of the Neapolis 2500 Committee Michele di Bari and the Vice President of the Teatro San Carlo Marilù Faraone Mennella.
The evening ended with “Nápoles y el Sonido del Mundo,” a piece that was entrusted to the young artists of the Academy of Teatro di San Carlo.
The Teatro San Carlo recently opened its fall season with a performance of “Aida” with Anna Netrebko and Jonas Kaufmann while the Teatro Colón recently performed a production of “Otello” with Michael Fabiano and Gregory Kunde.
