Teatro alla Scala & Dubai Opera Announce Cast Change for Gala Concert

The Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Dubai Opera have announced a cast change for their “Concert for Tomorrow” on Dec 1.

The two companies noted that tenor Piero Pretti will be replaced by Vittorio Grigolo, who will join Aida Garifullina in the concert. Michele Gamba conducts.

This season, Grigolo is set to return to the Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper, and the Staatsoper Hamburg. The tenor was originally set to perform at the Opera de Monte Carlo and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, but pulled out.

Piero Pretti returns to the stage for the Ravenna Festival with Riccardo Muti.
