Tamara Mumford Closes MET Orchestra Musicians Spotlight Series

The MET Orchestra Musicians Spotlight Series will close on June 13 at 3pm.

The recorded live event will showcase the musician before an invited audience at Peak NYC on the 101st Floor of 30 Hudson Yards. Tamara Mumford will host and guest star in the performance which will showcase members of the MET Orchestra performing chamber music and operatic selections, including several world premiere arrangements.

Mumford will sing the world premiere of arrangements by leading opera composer Jake Heggie for flute, harp, and string quartet of Debussy’s three “Chansons de Bilitis, L. 90.” She will then premiere MET Orchestra violist Dov Scheindlin’s arrangements of Rossini’s “Cruda sorte” from “L’Italiana in Algeri” and selections from Bizet’s “Carmen.”

There will also be selections from Händel, Ravel, Takashi Yoshimatsu,  and Mendelssohn.
