TulsaPeople Magazine has named Tulsa Opera its 2024 Reader’s Choice Professional Arts Organization on its 2024 A-List.

Each year the magazine nominates favorites from five different categories of which five are selected in 132 subcategories. There were over 18,000 submissions in 2024 with over 86,000 votes cast to select the winners.

“As Oklahoma’s premiere opera since 1948, Tulsa Opera is grateful to receive this esteemed award,” said General Director and CEO Lori Decter Wright per an official statement. “Being recognized by our community is particularly thrilling as we gear up to unveil our 76th season on May 13th. From our diverse community wellness endeavors such as Aria Yoga and Songs by Heart, to our impactful youth education initiatives like Tulsa Youth Opera and Raise Your Voice Tour, alongside our captivating mainstage productions, Tulsa Opera has crafted an exceptional 2024-25 season that we are eagerly anticipating sharing with everyone.”

Tulsa Opera has been selected more than five times for the distinction and is currently on TulsaPeople’s A-List Hall of Fame.
