Malmö Opera Presents Video Marrying Rossini and Hip Hop ‘Hip Hopera: Il Barbiere’
Malmö Opera has married opera with hip hop to create “Hip Hopera: Il Barbiere,” a creative mashup of hip hop and Rossini’s “Largo al factotum” from “The Barber of Seville.” The three-minute video features Effayé, a rapper, musician, and songwriter from Malmö, performing alongside Swedish tenor Sebastian Durán.
