Staatsoper Hamburg Announces Multiple Cast Changes for Upcoming Productions

The Staatsoper Hamburg has announced several changes to upcoming productions.

The company first noted that for performances of “Rigoletto” on Feb. 11 and 13, 2022, Ioan Hotea will take over the role of the Duca for Piotr Buszewski.

Hotea will join a cast that includes Andrzej Dobber as Rigoletto, Nadezhda Pavlova, Tigran Martirossian, and Jana Kurucová.

Meanwhile, in the performance of “Luisa Miller” on Feb. 16, 2022, Karl Huml will sing the role of Wurm taking over for Alexander Roslavets. Huml will join a cast that includes Alexander Vinogradov, Ramón Vargas, George Petean, Liana Aleksanyan, and Yulia Matochkina.

“Rigoletto” opens on Feb. 11 and runs through Feb. 17, while “Luisa Miller” opens on Feb. 16 and runs through March 31, 2022
