By David Salazar

St. Pete Opera will present scenes from three major operas in one evening.

The concerts, slated for Feb. 8 and 10, will feature Act three from Puccini’s “La Bohème,” numerous scenes from Gounod’s “Romeo and Juliet,” and the entirety of Britten’s nine-minute opera “A Hand of Bridge.” The works will be presented with piano accompaniment.

Adam Ciofarri and Karl Hesser will direct the works with Maestro Sforzini conducting.

The performances are presented as part of the St. Petersburg Celebration of the Arts Shakespeare Festival. The Feb. 8 showcase kicks off at 7:30 p.m. while the one on Feb. 10 will commence at 2 p.m., both at Opera Central.

In March, the St. Pete Opera will present “Turandot.”
