
St. John’s in the Village to Showcase ‘Dido and Aeneas’
By David SalazarA semi-staged concert performance of Henry Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” will be presented on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 starting at 7:30 p.m.
The performance, set to take place at at St. John’s in the Village in New York City, features a cast led by soprano Jaclyn Randazzo in the role of Dido and baritone David Smolokoff as Aeneas. The cast also includes Alyssa Mener as Belinda, Manya Gaver-Holmes as the Sorceress, Angela Scorese as the Second Woman and First Witch, Alice J. Lambert as the Second Witch, and Chazmond Peacock as the Sailor.
The chorus includes Renee Ricevuto, Jaylan Turkkan, Judy Weis, Francis Fedora, Paul Lee, Hsin Wang, Pete Weis, and Robb Moss.
The production is directed by Natan Zamansky, with Leonardo L. Leuci serving as music director and Abby Shuppy as choreographer.
The opera runs approximately one hour with no intermission.
