St. Gallen Concert and Theater Cooperative Board Elects Lukas Bieri as Administrative Manager

St. Gallen Concert and Theater Cooperative’s board has elected Lukas Bieri as the first Administrative Manager, beginning August 2023.

Bieri, who currently serves as the Commercial Director at Zurich’s Neumarkttheater, will primarily be responsible for finance and human resources.

He holds a Master’s degree in cultural management from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and has extensive experience in the cultural sector.

Between 2014-2019, Bieri served as the assistant to Theater Basel’s commercial director and later became the commercial director at Neumarkttheater in Zurich in 2019. He he played a big role in the company’s artistic shift and guided the institution through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bieri joins the management team headed by designated Director Jan Henric Bogen, with whom he has previously worked on the board of the Swiss Stage Association. “I am convinced that he will fit perfectly into our team and will ideally complement us professionally,” he stated in an official press release.

Government councilor Laura Bucher, vice-president of the board of directors of the St. Gallen Concert and Theater Cooperative said, “Lukas Bieri convinced us both professionally and personally in the application process. His career and his professional experience have prepared him ideally for the task in the management of Konzert und Theater St. Gallen.”

Bieri commented, “I am very happy to be able to work at the Theater St. Gallen. Since I grew up in Appenzell, I was able to have my first theater experiences at the Theater St. Gallen. That’s why it’s all the nicer for me to be part of a great team and an important cultural institution.”
