The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées has announced its 2021-22 season featuring some of the biggest stars in the world, staged operas, and concert operas.
Staged Opera
Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande“ will be conducted by François-Xavier Roth and directed by Eric Ruf. Patricia Petibon, Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Sir Simon Keenlyside, Jean Teitgen, and Lucile Richardot star.
Performance Dates: Oct. 5-15, 2021
Mireille Delunsch, Vannina Santoni, Alisa Kolosova, Jean-François Borras, Jean-Sébastien Bou, and Jean Teitgen star in Tchaikovksy’s “Eugene Onegin“ with Orchestre National de France and Chœur de l’Opéra National de Bordeaux. Karina Canellakis conducts Stéphane Braunschweig’s production.

Offenbach’s “La Vie Parisienne” will be directed by Christian Lacroix and conducted by Romain Dumas. Janáček’s “Příhody lišky Bystroušky” will be performed by Elena Tsallagova, Roland Wood, Angela Brower, Elizabeth Cragg, Ella Taylor, Kitty Whately, Robert Murray, and William Thomas. Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla conducts the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Chœur de Radio France.

Händel’s “Messiah” will be performed by Dorothee Mields, Marie Henriette Reinhold, Benedikt Kristjánsson, and Tobias Berndt with Orchestre et Chœur du Gaechinger Cantorey and conductor Hans Christoph Rademann.

Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’amore” is set to star Jodie Devos, Cyrille Dubois, Philippe-Nicolas Martin, and Nicola Ulivieri. Francesco Lanzillotta conducts the Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France and Chœur de chambre de Rouen.
