The Fundación Victoria de los Ángeles will present the third edition of the “Concierto por la Paz” on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 8 p.m. local time.

Soprano Adriana González serves as ambassador of the 2026 edition, succeeding countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, who held the role in 2025. Performing alongside González are Ofelia Sala, Helena Ressurreição, tenor René Barbera, and baritone Ashley Riches, all appearing without fee. The Orquesta Sinfónica Victoria de los Ángeles and the Coro Càrmina will also take part, with musical direction by Pedro Pardo and choral direction by Daniel Mestre.

The program includes Pablo Casals’ “El cant dels ocells,” Mozart’s “Exsultate, jubilate,” and Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Born in 2022 in response to the conflict in Ukraine, the “Concierto por la Paz” has grown into an annual event advocating for peace and human rights through music. Last year’s edition raised 61,000 euros for Red Cross social programs. The goal for 2026 is 70,000 euros.

The event, set to take place at L’Auditori in Barcelona, is supported by the Ayuntamiento de Barcelona and benefits humanitarian peacebuilding programs carried out by the Red Cross. It is presented in collaboration with Fundación Salvat, the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, Barenboim-Said for Music, Coral Càrmina, the Fundación Pau Casals, and Grand Hyatt, among others.
