Pangkor Laut Resort, part of the YTL Hotels portfolio, has announced the return of “Opera in Paradise.”

The fourth annual edition, taking place October 23–25, 2026 at the resort off the coast of Malaysia, will be led by musical Director Andreas Griminelli. Vocal headliners include soprano Laura Wright, soprano Clarissa Spata, and tenor Gaetano Bonfante, and British baritone Sam Young, in his company debut.

The event honors the legacy of Luciano Pavarotti, who regarded Pangkor Laut as a personal paradise. The resort’s two-bedroom Pavarotti Suite is available as part of an Opera in Paradise package beginning at $1,890 USD for two, which includes welcome cocktails, a gala dinner, daily meals at select restaurants, and speedboat transfers from Marina Island Pangkor.
