Sonya Yoncheva and Domingo Hindoyan attended the Oscars on March 15, 2026.

The soprano attended as a guest of Rolex, which Yoncheva is an ambassador of.

This is the third time the soprano attends the Academy Awards. She previously attended in 2023 and  2019.

Yoncheva is representing opera alongside Ana María Martínez, who is representing the Oscar nominated film “Viva Verdi,” which is nominated for Best Song for “Sweet Dreams of Joy.”

It also comes as opera has been in the spotlight thanks to actor Timothée Chalamet’s comments where he said “no one cares” about the opera or ballet.
