Sondra Radvanovsky’s France Recital Rescheduled
By Francisco SalazarSondra Radvaonvsky’s Opera National de Bordeaux recital has been canceled.
In a statement via social media the soprano said, “So very sorry to share that my Bordeaux Opèra Recital with Anthony Manoli has been cancelled this Saturday due to the situation in France at the moment. It has been rescheduled for Sunday March 31st at 8pm. Please visit their website or Facebook page for more information. Happy Holidays and much all my French fans! Sondra.”
Radvanovsky’s recital is the latest performance to be canceled due to the protests in France. The Opera National de Paris recently canceled Dec. 8 performances for security reasons.
The reictal, which is now set for March is set to include music by Vivaldi, Verdi, Liszt, Strauss, Bellini, and Copeland.
Radvanovsky next heads to Vienna for performances of “Tosca” and will also return to the Royal Opera House for “Andrea Chenier.” The summer will see her at the Gran Teatre de Liceu for “Luisa Miller.”
