
Sir Bryn Terfel Set for Performance at Llangollen Eisteddfod
By David SalazarSir Bryn Terfel is set to perform at the Llangollen Eisteddfod’s closing concert on July 13, 2025.
The famed bass-baritone, who just completed a run of performances of “Tosca” at the Metropolitan Opera, will perform a list of pieces from his album “Sea Songs” and will be joined by the Fisherman’s Friends, a folk group from Por Isaac, Cornwall. Also performing on the concert is Welsh Folk singer Eve goodman.
The concert will be the culmination of the Pendine International Voice of the Future Competition, where Terfel will present the Pendine Trophy to the winner.
“The Pendine International Voice of the Future competition is a wonderful opportunity for talented young singers to make a mark and it can provide a real launchpad for fledgling careers onto the global stage,” Terfel noted in an official press release.
The competition’s submissions are underway and the preliminary round and semifinals will take place July 11, followed by the final on the 13th.
