IlluminArts has named Shawn Crouch to the position of Executive Artistic Director.

Crouch is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice of Compositin and Theory at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. At the same institution, he is also artistic director of the Ensemble Ibis New Music Ensemble and program director of the Experiential Music Curriculum.

“I am deeply honored to serve as the new Executive Artistic Director of IlluminArts, an artistic treasure in South Florida’s cultural landscape. I look forward to building on its extraordinary legacy by creating bold, innovative programs that fuse music with visual art, architecture, movement, and multimedia,” Crouch said per an official press release.

IlluminArts was founded in 2013 with the aim of presenting performances of vocal chamber music to Miami’s audiences. The company will now enter its 13th season and was under the leadership of Founder and Artistic Director Amanda Crider from 2013-2023 and Artistic Director Chad Goodman from 2023-25.
