Shana Oshiro & Judy Yannini Headline Classical Movements’ March & April 2022 Slate

Virginia-based Classical Movements has announced its March and April slate of performances.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal performances.

Soprano Shana Oshiro will join forces with cellist Jodi Beder and pianist Brian Bartoldus for an “Out of Eden: A Journey Through Art Song. The concert will be dedicated to music by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Massenet, Heggie, Florence Price, and Jasmine Barnes.

Performance Date: Thursday, March 31, 2022

That will be followed up by “From A to Z: Arias to Zarzuela,” which will be co-presented with IN Series. The showcase will star Mexican soprano Judy Yannini who will make her Secret Garden debut. She will be joined by pianist Emily Baltzer and Artistic Director Timothy Nelson.

Performance Date: Thursday, April 14, 2022

Both showcases will feature two concerts apiece, both starting at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
