The Semperoper Dresden has announced a cast change for its matinee performance of “La Boheme” on June 21, 2025.

The company announced that Carolina López Moreno will sing the role of Mimi, marking her German stage debut.

Over the past year, Moreno has performed at the Royal Opera House, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and Teatro Carlo Felice, among others. She has also performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Teatro San Carlo, and Opéra de Liège. Her repertoire includes “La Rondine,” “La Traviata,” “Il Trovatore,” “Faust,” “La Boheme,” “Madama Butterfly,” and “Adriana Lecouvreur.”

The soprano is set to join a cast that includes Slávka Zámečníková, Kang Wang, Navasard Hakobyan, Anton Beliaev, Aleksei Kulagin, and Hans-Joachim Ketelsen. Stefano Ranzani conducts.
