The Teatro San Carlo di Napoli has announced a cast change for its upcoming production of “La Bohème.”

The company said that Diana Damrau will no longer sing the title role. As a result, Selene Zanetti will take over Damrau’s dates which were June 30 and July 2, 5, and 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, Carolina López Moreno will take over Zanetti’s original dates on July 1, 4, and 6, 2023.

Zanetti is set to perform alongside Vittorio Grigolo, and Maria Sardaryan while Moreno will perform alongside Vincenzo Costanzo and Laura Ulloa.

The cast is rounded by Andrzej Filonczyk, Pietro Di Bianco, and Alessandro Spina.

Francesco Lanzillotta conducts the new production by Emma Dante. “La Boheme” opens on June 30 and runs through July 7, 2023.
