Sabine Devieilhe has withdrawn from her upcoming fall engagements.

The soprano announced she is expecting her second child and therefore will not be able to perform her scheduled performances.

The soprano stated, “we will soon welcome a second baby in our family! I need to withdraw from the production of ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Libertà tour project with Pygmalion and from ‘Die Zauberflöte’ at Teatro Real where I was about to make my debut.”

The soprano is scheduled to return to the stage in March for performances of “Dinorah” at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for “Acante et Cephise.”

The Teatro Real and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées have yet to announce a replacement.
