
Sabine Devieilhe, Julie Fuchs, François Rougier, & Julien Behr Star in Angers Nantes Opera’s 2026-27 Season

Angers Nantes Opera announces its 2026-27 season.
Here’s a look at the vocal events.
“Festival OP’ en famille” is held.
Performance Dates: Oct. 3-28,2026
Jeanne Desoubeaux directs Bizet’s “Carmen.” The cast is yet to be announced.
Performance Dates: Oct. 3 & 4 2026
Lorraine de Sagazan makes her directorial debut in Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice.” Sahy Ratia, Jenny Daviet, and Mariamielle Lamagat are among the cast. Alphonse Cemin conducts.
Performance Dates: Oct. 10-18 & Nov. 3-4, 2026
Next up is “Petite Balade aux Enfers” by Valérie Lesort.
Performance Dates: Oct. 16-17 & Nov. 23-24, 2026
Students from the Conservatoire de Nantes present “Quand l’amour devient poison.”
Performance Date: Nov. 15, 2026
The Angers Nantes Opera Choir presents excerpts from Offenbach’s “Orpheus in the Underworld,” Gounod’s “Faust,” as well as works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Verdi, Fauré, and Marie Jaëll. François Rougier and René Ramos conduct.
Performance Dates: Nov. 19 & 17, 2026
Anne-Lise Polchlopek, Franck François Rougier, Carlos René Ramos Premier, Angèle Chemin, Ludovic Xavier de Lignerolles, Élise Chauvin, Anne-Emmanuelle Davy, Fiona McGown, and Robert Guilhem Terrail perform in “The Carmen Case.” They are joined by the Chœur d’Angers Nantes Opéra and Ars Nova. Alexandra Lacroix directs and Lucie Leguay conducts.
Performance Dates: Dec. 1 -6 & 12, 2026
Soloists of the Angers Nantes Opéra Choir are led by Xavier Ribes in the concert “La Rumeur.” Hélène Peyrat accompanies at the piano.

Soprano Marie Soubestre solos in “72 cordes, 18 chevalets, une table d’harmonie.”
Performance Dates: Jan. 19 & 20, 2027
Members of the Angers Nantes Opéra and La Folle Journée de Nantes, along with pianist Vanessa Wagner present the concert “Beethoven in Love.”
Performance Dates: Jan. 27 & 31, 2027
The Angers Nantes Opéra choir conducted by Xavier Ribes present works by Dvořák, Liszt, Poulenc, Karl Jenkins, and Clémence de Grandval in “Stabat Mater.” Philippe Chevalier accompanies at the organ.
Performance Dates: Feb. 7 & May 20, 2027
Soprano Hélène Carpentier, tenor François Rougier, and baritone Victor Sicard, with the Angers Nantes Opéra Choir present works by Verdi, Gounod, Mozart, Léo Delibes, Rossini, and Augusta Holmès. Xavier Ribes directs and Frédéric Jouannais accompanies at the piano.
Performance Dates: Feb. 10 & 11, 2027
Elsa Benoit, Ambroisine Bré, Camille Poul, Kaëlig Boché, Jean-Christophe Lanièce, and Guilhem Worms star in Mozart’s “Cosi fan Tutte.” Phia Ménard directs. Nicolas Ellis conducts the Chœur d’Angers Nantes Opéra and Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire.
Performance Dates: March 10 -16 & 25, 2027
Soprano Julie Fuchs and performs works by Erik Satie in “Je te veux.” She is joined by pianist Delphine Dussaux, accordion player Félicien Brut, bassist Simon Guidicelli, and violinist Alexis Cardenas.
Performance Date: April 7, 2027
The new work “Stabat Maldonne” features members of the Angers Nantes Opéra choir led by Christophe Grapperon and five dancers with choreography by Leïla Ka.
Performance Date: April 10 -11 & 21, 2027
Soprano Sabine Devieilhe performs “Smile” with pianist David Violi and cellist Pauline Buet.

Federico Tibone conducts the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire and ensemble choral in “Age of Content Orchestral.”
Performance Dates: April 22 – 25, 2027
Soprano Magali Léger, tenor François Rougier, and baritone Guillaume Andrieux perform with the Angers Nantes Opéra Choir and pianist Frédéric Jouannais in “Tourments amoureux.” Xavier Ribes conducts.
Performance Dates: May 5 & 26, 2027
Julien Behr takes on the title role in Massenet’s “Werther.” Lucie Peyramaure, Anas Séguin, Raquel Camarinha, Marc Scoffoni, Florent Karrer, and Benoît-Joseph Meier make up the cast. Ted Huffman directs. Chloé Dufresne conducts Maîtrise de la Perverie and the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire.
