Russian Conductor Adik Abdurakhmanov Dies at 63

On Feb. 19, 2024, conductor Adik Abdurakhmanov died at the age of 63.

The news was reported in Chelyabinsk and authorities expressed condolences over the death of the conductor.

In a statement, the authorities said, “The head of Chelyabinsk Natalya Kotova and the city administration express deep condolences in connection with the untimely death of the Honored Artist of Russia, artistic director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Chelyabinsk Region, honorary citizen of the city of Chelyabinsk Adik Askarovich Abdurakhmanov.”

Abdurakhmanov was an Honored Artist of Russia and founded the Chelyabinsk Symphony Orchestra.
